I bought a new notebook last week after my 9yr old Phenom II broke down and used a spare Core2Duo for a year lol, and I dabbled into emulators once again. I guess I've figured out this stuff on my own, but I'd like someone here on ERA to tell me what I did was what I was the thing to do! Incredibly, it seemed to work! The tracks displayed properly at the select screen, the textures looked much better, and more like they should as I've seen in videos, and whats more, other Model 3 games that would not work, or had massive amounts of slowdown or missing and glitching polygons, worked! So, I copied the whole directory to make a new folder and swapped only the old supermodel exe with the new supermodel exe that I downloaded which was SVN 775. I figured MAYBE i could swap it with a newer supermodel exe, and not change anything else in the Model 3 UI directory (because I barely know enough to get things running and I'm not great with PCs in general). So I figured the version of supermodel I had downloaded to use with the Model 3 UI was totally outdated. the tracks don't display properly.Įven when I tried using New3DEngine, the textures, lighting, etc didn't look as good and the tracks were still not displaying at the select screen. at the track select screen in either version of Daytona USA 2. When I started using this Model 3 UI, I noticed that the textures in both versions of Daytona USA 2 did not look like do in recent versions of supermodel videos I've been seeing the last couple of years, that use newer builds (which has to do with the SVN version).
